Winter attractions

Winter walks

Enchanting snow-covered forests, clear winter air, marvellous views of the mountains - there is no better way to enjoy the magic of the Alps in winter than on foot.

Excursions with snowshoes

Snowshoeing is the best way to reach the most remote and unspoilt corners of Tyrol. It gives visitors a fascinating insight into the magical winter landscape and is a great way to get out and about in the fresh Alpine air.

Cross-country skiing

Cross-country skiing is one of the best ways to experience winter in Tyrol. Avoid the crowded lifts and go at your own pace through the alpine wilderness.

Tobogganing

From toddlers to grandparents, you're never too young or too old to go down the mountain on a toboggan run! Our region offers a wide range of slopes for anyone looking for an alternative to skiing or snowboarding.

Snow-kiting

The pioneers of snowkiting started with a simple idea: if kitesurfing is fun on water, why not on snow? In winter, Lake Reschen south of Nauders is a popular meeting place for snowkiters. The area on the Austrian-Italian border in South Tyrol has numerous open spaces that are ideal for this sport.
